errordit is an Editor to to create and edit Exceptions Messages for Train Simulator -NEXT.

Location

The tool is located in the [root]/Tools/ directory.

Usage

1. Create a new Error Catalogue or load one (by default T15.Exceptions.xml).
   The Exception Catalogue for TS NEXT is the file Resources/Localization/Exceptions.xml.
2. Select a group or create a new one (ID, Name).
3. Select or add an Exception and edit its contents.
4. Don't forget to save the catalogue.

How Exceptions are handled

If the application throws a languaged exception, the application tries to look up the display content by ID and sets given parameters.

Each entry has an

• Identifier number,
• Title for the Error Box in English (US),
• Description for the Error Box in English (US), and
• opt. Icon (fomat "[DLL file], [Icon ID]").

Each entry may contain localized texts in German and other major market languages.

Using Parameters

Some source codes may throw exceptions with parameters. Parameters are placed by the "$(Parameter)" format.

Example: The processor $(ProcessorName) isn't supported.
